little miss muffet

She didn't sit on her tuffet a whole lot but she sure was darn cute!   We had a really fun morning exploring together.  We even saw the itsy bitsy spider working on her beautiful webs...

Paddington, don't you think!?

Madeline!

We found this spot on a hill and it was really pretty but full of ragweed which we all soon learned we were at least slightly allergic to... I haven't really stopped sneezing since - SORRY GUYS!
Little Miss Muffet:  It was really so nice to meet you and your mom, you are both so adorable and fun and I hope we can get together again sometime!

welcome to the world little one!

This wee one, just 10 days old when we got together.

Oh my!  Grandpa and I tried and tried, rubbing her belly, waiting and waiting for a bubble in her tummy or whatever it is that makes newborn's 'smile'... no luck.  Then big sister wanders over and smooches her on the head and WHAT DO YOU KNOW!?!  I was so excited about catching this moment that I did a great big crazy dance that big sister got quite a kick out of.  I think she was pretty proud that I was excited enough to dance about her great work!  SO fun!

5 days new

The beauty of a session with a summer baby - this was one of those warm muggy days and sweet baby S was pretty happy being naked laying on the blanket outside...
I was trying to be all cutesy and shoot from above my head to get this shot (without looking through the lens and without a ladder like I have seen other photogs do)... thank goodness I at least got her in the frame, cause we got that sweet little grin.. strange composition, but I kind of like it!

My friend Em just made this 'cocoon' for me, I love it and more importantly the babies love it... My wish list now includes a green and a pink one (hint hint!!)   Don't you just love how IN LOVE big brother is here...
beautiful baby S - thanks for letting me capture her for you!

big sis, little sis

This was so fun (have you heard me say this before?).  I sure love my job, I get such a kick of the little personalities that I get to meet.  These two were no exception, darling.little.girls!

We were rained out on our first try, but I am sure glad we made it work 2 days later, couldn't have asked for a prettier evening.

hams!
hope you enjoy your sneak peak, sweet girls (and your mom and dad!)

on the way home...

I had just finished a session with an adorable little pair of sisters, I quick stopped to pick up my littlest little from grandmas, and we were on our way home.  It was some time after 8 and every single time I drive by this field off of 35W at the dusk hour, I see deer - and color - and it is beautiful.

I had all my photo gear in my truck and I decided my little and I were going to do what I always want to do when I see that field.  PULL OVER.

There were lots of deer, but none of them made it into my lens because they were a ways into the field toward the freeway and I wanted to shoot into the sun - which was fading quickly.  It was as beautiful as I imagined through my lens.

If anyone ever wants to shoot REALLY early, or REALLY late (for little ones) - let me know, it is the prettiest time of day, I think.  And I love it.

As for the adorable sisters - will post soon :)

itsy bitsy, goodnight moon, gummie worms and the color purple.

These are a few of this little sweetie's favorite things.  She sang itsy bitsy spider, she looked at one of her favorite books and she knows her colors - all at the ripe old age of 2 (almost)!  I haven't seen her in a year, and boy has she changed!  The only thing I could have possibly recognized her by were those little crystal blue swimming pool eyes.
and washed the spider OUT!
aghhh.. love the light here, and her adorable litte puckery lip, and her sticky little pink-lollipop fingers.
we were spinning the umbrellas like tops... kinda fun!
Thanks again for the fun morning guys!

garden fairies

The plan was to head into a nearby pretty public park, but these sweet little girl's neighbor was kind enough to let us come into her beautiful yard to begin our shoot, and we never left!

It so happens that these little girls would have looked cute anywhere, but we certainly lucked out to get to spend our morning in a beautiful city-garden wonderland!  Thanks neighbors!

When I arrived at their house, this little one greeted me by name, and welcomed me in and proudly showed me a craft her mom and her had recently done.  So cute!  Then she wondered right away if I loved her beautiful dress... Yes I do!
Gosh, these two were the most mellow, happy and darling little things.
Don't you SOOOO want to know what cute girly sister secrets they are sharing here... LOVE.
A special kitty named 'kitty' was able to join us at the garden.

It was so fun to meet your adorable girls - Thank you!!
