family farm

This family took on their parents beautiful farm and are going to be building a new house on it... A photographers dream come true when it comes to a session location!

It was fun, seeing this family interact and hearing stories about all the memories in the cool nooks and crannies on the 40 acres of beautiful land. Most of the kids have moved on, but it is obvious that they really all still enjoy getting together and being out in that sweet fresh-grass smelling land.

They were a busy bunch, wrestling and practicing Kooza moves that they may have learned the night before - this made for some really fun shots :) I had such a hard time not posting like everything I have edited thus far, as I really love all of them!

Here is one from the little 'ground breaking' series we did with the BIG MACHINE, at one point, the kiddos were in the bucket - up in the air! Haven't edited those yet...
LO-O-O-VE blue jeans on blue Mack truck!!
Feeling the energy in this one?!?
Thanks guys for inviting me to your little heaven!

Bebe G

I was a little nervous to shoot this little guy, because of his age, he is nearing 3 months and I hadn't shot this age in awhile, and I remember it being a little tricky, because they don't just sleep through everything, yet they aren't quite strong enough for much sitting...

Well I had no reason to be nervous, little G is just the sweetest thing ever, never even heard a peep out of him. Even when mom and dad were changing his outfits (and it was kinda cold out!) and propping him up. I really liked this session, little G's mom and dad are super easy going and fun - THANKS GUYS!
This next one is the only photo they requested. We tried to match up with a photo taken of one of their parents that is similar in composition to this one, a sibling also did this in Ireland. The background is from their yard - so pretty!

Family of fun, I mean 4

I mean fun and 4! I had a super time on this shoot, they were all a RIOT! I didn't have to plan a thing, they came up with everything on their own! Thanks for the super easy and fun session guys!

I was super excited to use my 70's retro look for these cute college girls on the old red truck we found in the woods!

natural lens-flare all evening - LOVE IT!!

pip-squeak

This is my favorite kind of shoot, the kind where the kiddo is obviously annoyed with me and my big noisy black camera always in their face, and after the shoot is over, it would seem like lucky if there was even 1 worthwhile image on my card.

AND THEN... I begin editing and it seems every image has some adorable expression, or great coloring or awesome light. I love this because it is real real, no posey business here... before you know if I am struggling trying to eliminate images from the album as to not overwhelm the clients!

LOVE IT - and here are just a few of the many shots of this cutie that I loved!

I just LOVE her :)
